LOCTITE® 6001 Retaining Compounds
Features and Benefits
This rose beige to off-white, thixotropic, acrylic-based adhesive is designed to bond cylindrical fitting parts.
LOCTITE® 6001 is a medium to high-strength, anaerobic cure, rose beige to off-white adhesive for bonding cylindrical fitting parts. It’s typically used for bonding rotors to shafts in fractional and subfractional horsepower motors and locking bushings and sleeves in housings on shafts. Its thixotropic nature reduces the migration of liquid product after application. The product cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It even develops adhesion between close-fitting surfaces of metal and some plastics. It fluoresces under UV light – great for quality control.
